Rich Bell MSc is a global resilience advisor specialising in enterprise resilience, crisis leadership and emergency preparedness. With more than three decades of operational leadership experience, he advises organisations operating in complex and high-risk environments on strengthening preparedness, decision-making and organisational resilience.

Rich works with C-suite executives, government leaders and organisations responsible for critical infrastructure to develop resilient systems capable of anticipating disruption, managing crisis events and sustaining operations during periods of uncertainty. His work focuses on the intersection of organisational resilience, leadership performance and strategic preparedness, supporting senior decision-makers to build structures and cultures that enable effective action when it matters most.

His experience spans multiple sectors, including healthcare systems, emergency services, energy infrastructure, government and major international events. This breadth of operational exposure has provided a deep understanding of how organisations operate under pressure and the leadership behaviours required to navigate complex emergencies and large-scale disruptions.

Rich’s advisory approach combines extensive practical experience with academic research. He holds a Master of Science degree in Emergency Management & Resilience and is currently engaged in doctoral research exploring emergency management and the psychology of decision-making under pressure. This research focuses on how leaders process information, make critical decisions and maintain operational clarity during crisis situations. The integration of operational leadership with academic insight enables a structured and evidence-informed approach to resilience strategy and leadership development.

Internationally, Rich has worked across the globe with significant experience in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East, including active exposure to the evolving healthcare and emergency management landscape within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This experience provides valuable perspective on how resilience frameworks and preparedness systems must adapt across different regulatory, cultural and operational environments.
